13. Conductivity Experiment


Conductivity Experiment


Left - Regular paint / Right - GAINA                    
GAINA significantly reduced the heat conductivity of the iron plate.

  • Two iron plates placed on a heating element 
  • Applied regular paint to the left plate
  • Right plate was coated with GAINA
  • Both iron plates heated to 112°F (45℃)





Next, an ice cube (0.465 inch² / 3 cm²) was placed in the center of each iron plate.

End Results


As soon as we started, the ice on the plate with regular paint started to melt.

Within minutes the ice on the left plate melted completely.




On the right side, the ice didn't melt atop the GAINA coated plate.
